BOSTON, MA – November 15, 2011 – IT security and data protection company Sophos today announced that it has been named a finalist across six of SC Magazine’s 2012 Reader Trust Awards categories.

Sophos Endpoint Web Protection, Sophos Mobile Control, Sophos Endpoint Security and Data Protection, and Sophos Astaro Security Gateway were all named as premiere solutions in the Reader Trust Award competition, which honors best-in-class security products and services. Additionally, three of the solutions, Astaro Security Gateway, Sophos Endpoint Security and Data Protection 9.7 and Sophos Mobile Control, received coveted 5-star ratings from SC Magazine in 2011.

Sophos security and data protection solutions were selected from hundreds of entries submitted in 33 technology categories. The competition honors best-in-class security products and services by SC Magazine’s broad reader base, comprised of security and technology experts from large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets.

Sophos made the short list of finalists in the following Reader Trust Awards categories:
