27 Jan, 2012 - IT security and data protection company Sophos today announced its Endpoint Encryption solution, Sophos SafeGuard, received a “Champion” rating in the recent Info-Tech Research Group Endpoint Encryption Vendor Landscape Report. The independent report evaluated eight leading endpoint encryption vendors on various product criteria.

Sophos SafeGuard protects data on desktops, laptops and removable media. The company’s award-winning encryption and data loss prevention (DLP) stops data breaches and makes compliance quick and simple. According to the report, Sophos was cited as “offering highly capable and comprehensive products in the encryption space.” The report goes on to note that “the company is steadily growing through acquisitions, and offers affordable solutions,” and that its “endpoint encryption solution has the lowest price, and can combine with and manage other solutions, such as BitLocker.”

“The Endpoint Encryption market is evolving alongside the data it protects by expanding its mobile encryption capabilities,” said James Quin, lead research analyst, Info-Tech Research Group. “Sophos was positioned as a Champion because of their ability to respond to these changing dynamics and set industry trends, as well as the excellent value offered by SafeGuard.”
