BOSTON, MA -- June 17, 2013 -- Sophos is pleased to announce that five of the company’s channel leaders have been recognized by UBM Tech Channel’s CRN in the 2013 Top Women of the Channel. Representing Sophos are Emmanuelle Skala, vice president of global channel and sales operations, Kendra Krause, vice president of Americas channel sales, Amy Gelpey, senior channel marketing manager, Regina Vignone, director of sales, and Martha Stuart, director of Americas marketing and global channel.

CRN’s annual list recognizes nearly 300 female executives across vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers for their accomplishments over the past year, and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward. This year’s Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. These women represent a changing trend in a traditionally male dominated industry.

All five leaders have made an significant impact on Sophos and the company’s ability to deliver complete security. They have played an integral role in building the company’s channel program, both in the Americas and worldwide—from re-launching the Sophos Global Partner Program and the Global Partner Portal to introducing an industry-first MSP program to managing the biggest global partner conferences in the company’s history.

“We honor and congratulate this list of influential women who are dedicated to supporting the mission of the channel,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, UBM Tech Channel. “For years, we have identified and celebrated the women who have made an indelible mark on the technology industry through unmatched innovation and razor focus on meeting the needs of the IT channel community.”

“As a channel-first organization, we are focused on the success of our partners and we are lucky to have such a strong team helping to drive this success – Emmanuelle, Kendra, Amy, Regina and Martha represent the best of the Sophos channel program,” said Mike Valentine, senior vice president, global sales and channel. “To have five of our leaders recognized as top women of the channel speaks volumes about our channel commitment and about what these talented individuals bring both to our company and to our partners.”

A special feature of the Women of the Channel is in the June issue of CRN magazine and expanded coverage of The 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel will be featured online at http://www.crn.com.
